EuroBureau Terms and Conditions, 5 October 2026

Welcome to the terms and conditions of EuroBureau. We endeavour to keep things as simple as possible in all areas, and hope that extends to this page, and, as with everything else, we warmly invite comment, correction, and questions.

By accessing or using EuroBureau (which here and henceforth includes the services, website, downloadable content, and software) you’re agreeing to abide by these terms, whether or not you’re a registered user.

We need to reserve the right to amend this page at any time, but we promise to make any such changes small, infrequent, and noisy. Your continued use of EuroBureau after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

You confirm that you’re at least 13 years old or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction (whichever is older).

You can access read-only content on EuroBureau without an account but to actually create and edit files you need to create an account, which means providing an email address and selecting a password for which you’re entirely responsible. Don’t write it on a sticky stuck to your monitor — if you forget your password we can reset it for you.

You agree to create only one account. If you need more storage you can avail yourself of the very reasonable upgrade path.

We have to reserve the right to cancel an account at our discretion and without appeal. In this unlikely event we’ll provide ample notification  and a full download of associated content.

You undertake to do no harm (ideally in all cases but herein with respect to your use of EuroBureau). This includes...

  • Don't attack our systems or scrape our content or redirect or proxy our services. Don’t transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code to our systems. Don’t copy our product or use our intellectual property without permission (which you can have, by the way — EuroBureau is open source and based on Euro-Office).
  • Don’t use EuroBureau to do harm or harass others — don't use our services to send unwanted or unkind messages. Don’t try to harvest, collect, or gather user data.
  • Don’t infringe on others’ intellectual property rights. Don’t plagiarise. Don’t infringe on our intellectual property rights.
  • Don’t employ EuroBureau to create or disseminate evil, illegal, inciteful, or unkind content. If you want to do that, for some reason, Lord knows there are enough other platforms that are fine with it.
  • Tattle. If you suspect someone is violating any of the above perfectly reasonable requirements, please let us know at admin@eurobureau.eu.

You acknowledge that you’re ultimately responsible for the safekeeping of your content. EuroBureau saves regular versions and sends nightly backups of any changed files (this is optional but on by default) and your files are stored redundantly in geographically disparate servers. We’ll do everything reasonably practicable to avoid losing or corrupting your work, but at the end of the day we can’t take responsibility if something disastrous should happen.

Privacy EuroBureau is fully compliant with GDPR, The General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (full text here https://gdpr-info.eu/).

We only store that which we need to store to provide the services. We don’t store (or even ask for) any personally identifying information apart from an email address necessary for login.

There are cookies and local storage but these are not used for tracking in any way, they are not shared, and they’re only used for and when you access the service.

Your content, including messages, comments, or anything else you might express and store in EuroBureau will never be used in any way by or for Artificial Intelligence.

You are granting us a limited licence to store and disseminate your content (again, including your files, messages, comments, or anything else you express or store in EuroBureau) only so far as is necessary to deliver the service. This means making a copy for redundant backup, storing your comments in our database and sharing them with those for whom you intended them, allowing those to whom you’ve granted permissions to view or edit your documents in their own instance of EuroBureau, and reformatting your content for display or storage..

The permission is obviously worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and entirely at your discretion — it ends the moment you delete your content or account.

If you delete your account, in compliance with GDPR, all of your data is deleted along with it, so should you ever choose to do so please be certain to download the latest copy of all your files (or at any rate all the files you want to keep) first.
